Alright I can draw and scan on my computer and everything 'cept I can't make it were you can draw a decent port out of it x.x I looked at the tutroial ,yes. But I don't know how on the tutroial it got from the first step to the second step as I can see it was first drawn...

usualy most people use MS paint that comes standard with windows. They use the pencil or line tool to clean up their work quickly.

There very first portrait i did was with the FSh editor, and I think it turned out really good. But it did take a weekish to make. So to each their own, I guess ;D

Me, I now prefer Photoshop for all my port making goodness. It's easier with layers *winks*

I guess I'll try the photoshop thingy I'm not good at making pictures on the computer or am I... hm... I need to test that out in my free time.

OH! Mortain and her "layers" Ogre! XD j/k (shrek joke there) You can use anything to make a portrait. Play around with things and see what's best for YOU. What works for someone else, may not work for you. I started in the FSH editor myself. Good luck with them
